ORM – Object Relational Mapping

An Object Relational Mapper (ORM) is a layer between a relational database and an object-oriented programming language without the need for SQL queries. ORMs convert data into a structured map that helps in the understanding of the database’s underlying structure by developers. By creating extremely abstract data models and automatically producing SQL code, ORMs increase efficiency.
